I am very happy to announce that I have been appointed as the singing teacher for the brand new Tewkesbury Theatre Stars school which opens in September.
Theatre Stars is an new innovative and exciting company based in Tewkesbury offering local children a chance to build confidence and gain skills for life using performing arts.
Theatre Stars is run by Jon Morgan, who with almost ten years experience in Performing Arts Education, wants to provide Tewkesbury with a Stage School to inspire and build confidence in local children. He believes the school can offer a very personal and professional approach to building children’s confidence and performance enjoyment.
The Saturday Stage School is run Saturday mornings (term time only) for ten weeks every term. The school will be split into three different age groups:
Beginners (7-10 yrs)
Juniors (11-13 yrs)
Seniors (14-16 yrs)
During their time with Theatre Stars all children will complete one hour of each discipline - drama, dance and singing.
I am very excited about working alongside Jon and the other performing arts tutors Lauren Hall and Leona Davies to bring even more music education to Gloucestershire and helping to encourage and inspire young singers in Tewkesbury.
We are running a summer workshop on Friday 26th July at Tewkesbury School (9.30-12.30). This workshop will be run the same as our termly Saturday morning school. For £15 each participant will take part in -
• One hour of dance
• One hour of drama
• One hour of singing
